8 Reasons to Love Travel | What Motivates You to Travel

Nowadays, social media is one of the best platforms for armchair travelers across the globe to showcase the beauty of the world. However, travel is much more than taking the perfect Instagram photo. Travel should have a meaningful purpose. It should excite and inspire you, rejuvenate and ground you, educate and challenge you, but most importantly, it should humble you.

As we travel, we gain unforgettable stories, cherished memories, and irreplaceable insights that we can share with others. It encourages us to learn more about ourselves and each other, it broadens our horizons, and it forces us to refocus on what is significant.

I am speaking from personal experience, having traveled extensively throughout the world for the past 14 years. It is however the ranges and city life of California that I prefer most. The state has beautiful landscapes, renowned tourist attractions, as well as the best hotel in Bakersfield to rest and rejuvenate you before the next day of traveling. To this date, I have visited this beautiful state several times and would like to travel there every year because I am in love with it.

Motivation for Travel: Reasons to Love It

Meeting Different Cultures through Travel

By traveling, we can learn about different cultures and ancient traditions, and by doing so, we can embrace and celebrate our similarities and differences. The experience of travel teaches us about humanity and teaches us to appreciate, respect, and understand different perspectives and ways of life.

Learn by Traveling

It is not necessary to study geography or history in a four-wall classroom, as travel is the best way to learn about geography, history, culture, gastronomy, languages, biology, etc. Our minds are enriched and educated by travel far more than any textbook or guide can ever give us. It is more than just learning about different landscapes, languages, and lifestyles for curious travelers. They also gain insight into themselves (and each other) while learning about a region’s history, seeing wild animals in their natural habitat, and tasting local foods.

Escape Reality by Traveling

Sometimes we need to escape reality and fall off the radar. Traveling to new and unexplored places gives us a sense of complete anonymity. The moment gives us total freedom to be whoever we want, go anywhere we want, and do whatever we want. Back then, my six-month trip around the world was all about the freedom of choosing any spot on the map and finding a way to get there the next morning. Being spontaneous and seeking new experiences is made possible by travel.

Relax By Traveling

Despite being time-constrained and technology-driven, we rarely take the time to de-stress and switch off truly. Our bodies and minds are able to clear when we travel, as we can escape life’s daily demands, dramas, and deadlines. Our batteries will be recharged, and we will be able to truly disconnect (from our phones, Wi-Fi, emails, laptops, social media, etc.) so that we can reconnect (with ourselves, one another, and nature).

Humility through Travel

Travel is undoubtedly an experience that teaches humility. The true perspective we gain from crossing borders and oceans comes from crossing them. In addition to learning to appreciate and respect how others live, we also learn to recognize and be grateful for the things we take for granted in our own lives. Our travels teach us tolerance, flexibility, and open-mindedness, and most importantly, they make us humble.

Travel to Eat

On a recommended packing list, you’ll never find a diet. Keep it at home! It is advisable to bring a healthy appetite and be open to sampling local delicacies as well as new flavors. It is acceptable to drink juice and eat healthy for breakfast, and desserts are always a brilliant idea. Like in my favorite place which is California (as I mentioned at starting); I love to eat the local best food in the best hotel in Bakersfield. Whenever I visit this place for traveling I enjoy the local delicacies because it is too yummy.

Transform Yourself through Travel

It’s not enough to travel just for the sake of traveling. Experiencing adventure and feeling alive are the reasons to travel. Experience authentic experiences that will not only change your view of the world, but also inspire self-reflection, environmental awareness, and global action to protect and preserve our planet.

Live Out Your Bucket List Dreams by Traveling

There is no one-size-fits-all bucket list for travelers. Whatever you dream of doing, if you can dream it, you can do it. Whether you long to watch the sunset over the Taj Mahal, ski on the side of an active volcano, and hike across the best terrain in California, or find your Zen at a yoga retreat in the Himalayas, if you can dream it, you can do it. The best medicine is travel, and we should all take advantage of it and become better storytellers (and more environmentally conscious custodians of our planet).

Final Words

All in all, traveling is one of the best things in the world. Traveling to many new places can provide you with a great deal of enjoyment. Every time I feel low, I travel, particularly to the terrains of the California ranges, and in the evening enjoy the optimum services of the Best Hotel in Bakersfield California to rejuvenate myself for the next day.
